This song from The Don Powell band comes in two distinct flavours, both versions on this CD. The first is the Rock version 'Four to the Floor' with Dons trademark powerhouse drumming and the bands driving guitar and Hammond. and of course Steves classic vocals
The second track, the Country version has a distinct ‘swamp’ feel driven by acoustic guitars and features accordions both as solo and rhythm instruments. It's the relaxed version, as you can see on the video
Hence the band say that “Deja Voodoo” is:
‘A little bit Country - A little bit Rock ‘n Roll’

Jon Bates
The legendary Slade drummer Don Powell is now firmly back with his own Don Powell Band. This re-unites Don with musicians from the popular 1990's second lineup of Slade, vocalist Steve Whalley and bassist Craig Fenney
The line up is completed by keyboard player Jon Bates. Jon has previously been the producer on several DP Band Tracks He was responsible for production, editing and engineering the original track that was made during lockdown - Let There Be Drums All of the Artists who played on that were isolated in their own homes & studios due to Covid! It was a very tough ask for everyone to work on the project - especially Jon who joined up all the dots!
