The sudden death of the Don Powel Band vocalist Steve Whalley in late 2025 was mourned in the UK’s national press and fans the world over. In an extreme ‘you can’t make this up’ moment, the next release by the band had always been planned as the self-penned ‘Born To Rock and Roll’ This was the very last song Steve recorded.
